5/4/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,     May 4, 2020
Sorry for the delay, no Power School last night.
We are preparing for the home stretch for our seniors and have plans in place for underclassmen as well.

I hope this message finds each of you safe, healthy, and happy. Locker clean out and return of items to school such as textbooks, art class music, school instruments, and other items, and library books is on the horizon.

A locker clean out schedule is as follows and may be found on our website and CCA Face Book.
Monday, 5/11- 6th grade @9-11 and 7th grade @ 1-3
Tuesday, 5/12- 8th grade @9-11 and 9th grade @1-3
Wednesday, 5/13- 10th @ 9-11 and 11th grade @1-3

All times are for curbside pick-up.  Cars will line up on the top level and teachers will be on hand to give you your student’s locker items and take in anything you are returning to the school.

No one will enter the building.  We are ASKING THAT YOU PLACE THE NAME OF THE STUDENT AND GRADE LEVEL IN THE FRONT WINDOW OF YOUR CAR.  THIS IS WHAT IS USED AT MOST ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.  THE TABLES WILL HAVE A SPAN OF LETTERS THAT ARE ALPHABETIZED TO MOVE THE PROCESS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. If it rains only the student will get out and come up on the porch to pick up their items and turn in items to the school

All staff members will be following CDC Guidelines- wearing gloves and face coverings.  Life at school is different due to the onset of the coronavirus.

Registration forms are coming your way this week from the arts department heads.  Each art teacher will be working with individual students at the High School level to ensure that they are in the correct classes.  All middle school students will continuer to have one major class and will choose an elective. They will also receive their sheets this week.  We have several new elective classes at the High School level so take time to read the description and make your choice for one art elective that you are interested in taking.
All rising seniors will have an AP Seminar class in their schedule next year.  This is something to look forward to as you rise to the top of the school as a 2021 senior.

Art teachers will answer any questions that you might have regarding the registration process. Dual enrollment classes will also be available.  Questions regarding DE should be directed to Mrs. Bacher.

We continue to support all students with their efforts to raise their third quarter grade.  All grade levels may continue to turn in assignments that will improve your grade and ensure you are ready for next year.

A separate e-mail is being sent to Seniors regarding some things only pertaining to this year’s 2020 graduates.

Thank you for all that you are doing to support your students, we know it is a hard job, teaching, parenting, and making sure you are safe at your home.
CCA is here for you now and always!  We are in this together.

Mrs. Smith
