4/5/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,    April 5, 2020
This week begins Spring Break!  Even though it is probably a little different for many of you it is still a time for celebration.
Students should take a break from their on-line learning and all newly designated parent/teachers are off as well. We have continued to make sure that we are in touch with our students as we navigate this new course for learning together. Vacation is the lesson for this week.

We will resume our on-line classes on Monday, April 13.  Please note that when classes begin on-line again, students may turn in any work that they would like. All work will be accepted.

Great things are still occurring at CCA. The NJHS chapter at Chattanooga High Center for Creative Arts has been selected as one of the Outstanding Service Project Award recipients for 2020!
The Outstanding Service Project (OSP) awards recognize National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society chapters that have made significant service contributions at the local level. With more than 27,000 active chapters, it is estimated that millions of hours of service are performed each year by Honor Society members.
The OSP awards were established in 1994 to recognize chapters who have made a significant impact through service. Five NHS and Five NJHS projects are selected for this recognition each year. Angi Donen has led the reading service project and Cody Murphy is the co-sponsor for NJHS that includes 7-9th grade members. CONGRATULATIONS!
Maggie Wilkinson, one of our seniors, is headed to Princeton. Many prestigious schools have attempted to lure her in their direction, yet Princeton is where she will begin college this fall.

Enjoy your time together. If you have not seen the teacher video on Face Book, check it out!
Stay Healthy and stay Safe during the time that we are away. I know great things are yet to come to all of our students. I cannot wait to see everyone.

Mrs. Smith
