3/16/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,                March 16, 2020
I have just a few updates to share with each of you this evening.

First, the original dates for Spring Break April 3- April 10 are back in the calendar.  This comes after a ruling from our Governor. Therefore, students will remain out of school until Monday, April 13 as of today March 16, 2020.

Our staff has been working diligently to make sure they are available to answer questions that students may have during the next two weeks while we are in school using the virtual learning process to continue classes.  All students should know how each of their teachers plans to communicate with them during this intermission from face to face school.  Please e-mail any questions that you may have to the teachers regarding any assignments.  The assignments are for all classes, both arts and academics.

It is important that parents work with us about checking Google Classroom, Remind, e-mails, or other forms of communication from our staff.  This is a new way of learning for everyone and we can succeed while working together.

While we are not physically in the school, all should be at home completing their work.  This time away is not vacation days nor are they snow days.  Schools have been closed to slow the spread of a serious virus through social distancing.  Restaurants are closing and many businesses have shortened their hours of operation. Students are in school at home.

On another note, all remaining volunteer hours have been suspended until further notice. Do not worry about your hours.  This should put your mind at ease.

If you are in need of any assistance, do not hesitate to e-mail us.  Breakfast and lunch will be available at many schools during the next two weeks.  The closest to CCA is at Normal Park Upper School They begin serving tomorrow, 3/17/2020. Please check the hcde.org website for further information.
Take care of you and your entire family.  We at CCA care about each one of our students and want everyone to remain safe and healthy during these unpredictable times.
Thank You,
Mrs. Smith
