2/9/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the beauty of nature as we were covered by a blanket of snow on Saturday.
Even though it looked magnificent, it delayed our auditions. That being said, means that our auditions are rescheduled for tomorrow Monday, 2/10 for Middle School and Tuesday, 2/11 for High School.  We will still need all volunteers so please let Ms. Winne know first thing in the morning or possibly tonight if you will not be available to be at school by 4:30 each evening.

This week “Footloose” performances are on Friday, 2/14 and on Saturday, 2/15.  Tickets are $10 online or at the box office.  The performance is at 7PM and the doors open at 6:30PM for general seating.

Monday, (Tomorrow) will be an A day with an Intermezzo schedule. FINALE is at 3.  Homeroom will meet briefly before Finale to get a reminder letter about the time you signed up for our next Student-Led conference on Tuesday, February 25.  If you did not sign up the letter will give you your appointment time. Please confirm your time by cutting off the bottom of the page and have your student return it to their homeroom teacher by Wednesday, 2/12.

The PAPA Board meeting is on Tuesday, 2/11 in room 101.  These meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.  If you are interested in serving on the board or in being a part of a committee, pleases send me an e-mail.  We would love to have you as a part of this very important organization.
In addition, PAPA is selling seat cushions that can be used many places including our auditorium.  They are $10 and may be ordered on line using this link https://forms.gle/bGgRJqPX7Y6g1Xrs7.  You will also find them on the CCA website.  We would not be as successful if it was not for our parents.  We are grateful for all that each of you do for our staff, our school, and especially our students.

*“Dude Be Nice” week starts tomorrow.  Each day is a dress up day.  Monday - dress like your favorite teacher, Tuesday- You’ve got a friend-TWIN DAY, Wednesday- Every color is beautiful, Rainbow day, Thursday- Dream of Kindness-Pajama Day, and Friday- Slay Kindness- this means to dress your best!

Let’s get ready for a busy and wet week!  Rainfall is expected for several days this week.  Please be sure to send students to school prepared for rain. Whenever it rains, I ask students to wait on the porch in the covered area.  Being young people that is not always their choice.  Thanks for being on time to pick up your students every day.

Next Monday, 2/17 is President's Day we will not have school.

Thanks for your support,
Mrs. Smith
