2/23/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,
This week we have the following;

Tomorrow the sophomore retreat will be re-scheduled for a later date.  The in-house college fair will still happen from 1:15- 2:30 for juniors and sophomores.

The talent show is tomorrow at 2:45. Guests will be seated in the first 3 rows of the middle section.  Seating will be open for this event
Tickets are $2 and will be sold at lunch..

We will have homeroom tomorrow and on Tuesday in preparation for Student-Led Conferences on Tuesday. Students will receive progress reports.

Tuesday, 2/25  student-led conferences will be held At least one parent must attend with your student.  You should have your appointment time.  Please understand that no one will be called back until all students exit the building at 4PM.  I definitely need your help with this.  We must get the students out before any conferences may begin. If you have an early conference time you should wait in the commons for your student before heading to their homeroom. If you have forgotten your time, please call the office at 489-7365 ext. 7.  You will not be able to go back early since others are still in their conferences. Thanks for your help. Wait in the commons for your student before going to any conference.

Our Black History Month Concert is next Friday, 2/28 at 7PM at Metro Tab just off of Hwy. 153.  The cost is $5 at the door. You will not want to miss this evening of song and celebration. Come early, it will be a sellout crowd.

Congratulations to Magge Hudgins and the entire cast and crew of “Peter and the Star Catcher” for fabulous performances this past weekend.

On Saturday, 2/29, the Chattanooga High School Hall of Fame induction will be at CCA at 6PM in the auditorium.

On Monday, March 2 it will be a B-Day.  Benchmark assessments begin.

Tomorrow, we will take time to remember Kinsey Green, our senior who passed away this past week.  We recognize that students may be upset and need time to talk with someone.  We will have counselors and trained personnel available for them.  If you would like to send a card to the family, please send it with your student.  We will have plain cards for students to write messages to her family during lunch.  This loss is difficult on our entire school family.
Thanks for your support,
Mrs. Smith
