2/17/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,
This week we have the following.

Tomorrow is the Holocaust trip for Mr. Collins’ classes. All students must have turned in an official permission slip to attend.

On Wednesday, there will be Talent Show rehearsal from 4:15 – 6PM.  All contestants should have their ride at school by 6.  They should have all music ready and sent to Mrs. Howard.
On Friday, 2/21 the student Talent Show will begin at 2:45. Tickets are $2 and will be sold at lunch this week.  Any parent who is attending should be seated in the middle section of the auditorium in the first 2 rows of seats. It will end in time to catch the busses at 4PM.

On Friday evening, 2/21 the opening show for Peter and the Star Catchers will be held in the Black Box Theater.  Tickets are available at the door for $5.  The show begins at 7PM both Friday, 2/21 and Saturday, 2/22.  This production won a Tony Award several years ago and I know you will not want to miss the drama performed by our very own CCA actors.

Congratulations to the entire cast of Footloose for a fabulous performance this past Friday and Saturday. The biggest crowd ever attended both nights.  Our band members, Mr. Murphy, our choreographer, Lindsay Fussell, and all the students and parents were amazing during this production.

There will not be any BUDS after school tomorrow, 2/18.

We will have special guests visiting our school tomorrow beginning at 1-3:30. They are prospective school leaders and are hosted by the Public Education Foundation.  We welcome Ann Kilcher and colleagues.

I am reminding everyone that you should have received your appointment time for our last Student-Led Conference for this year.  Please contact your student’s homeroom teacher by e-mail if your student has not shared the time with you. Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, February 25 from 4:30-7:30.

Please take time to fill out the school climate survey.  The link is posted in our February newsletter and on our website. Thank you!

Our Black History Month concert is on Friday, 2/28 at Metro Tab Church off Hwy 153.  The concert begins at 7Pm and tickets are $5 at the door. It will inspire you with many strong vocalists.

Thanks for your support!
Mrs. Smith
