Good Evening CCA Families,                                                         

This week we have the following.

It is just four days until Dinner and the Arts.  Tomorrow is your last chance to buy your tickets.  They are $35 for the dinner and show.  The Silent Auction starts at 5-7PM. The dinner and show begin at 7PM in the gym.  Doors open at 6:30. If you reserved a table your name will be on it.  Corporate sponsors will have table names on them as well.  The live auction occurs during dinner.  It is like no other auction you have seen.  Make sure you buy Dreamer Dollars when you check in or come prepared with $1, $5, or $10.  Pick up your number paddle when you arrive.  Enter through the front doors for check in.  Our silent auction will be in the commons.  It is filled with all types of items especially the artwork done by our visual art students.  It is a night to remember!  We will have a special tribute to CCA prior to the show.  You will not want to miss it.  If you still have auction items, please get them in tomorrow.

Students performing at Dinner and the Arts will rehearse tomorrow through Thursday after school.  All class officers are serving as waiters and waitresses.  They must wear Black pants or skirts and a white shirt.  All will be provided an apron. They will have dinner after school in room 101 before changing into their clothes.

A special evening audition for visual art applicants will happen tomorrow at 5PM.  All students must be picked up by 4:30. It is much too cold for any student to wait outside for their ride. Please be on time.  We are in a very busy season with auditions and rehearsals occurring every day after school. Every family committed to picking up your student at 4:30. I must hold you to that commitment.

I would like to remind everyone to come to school with your chrome book charged.  Also, anything that you send or receive that is attached to your HCDE student password is subject to review.  Bark is the alert system adopted by the district. I have received a number of Bark alerts in the past few weeks.

The link to yet another survey by the management team responsible for putting together the school plans is up and running.  I need each one of you to fill it out. It can be found on our website, on the HCDE website, and on the CCA Face Book page. I am hopeful that our voices are heard regarding our desire to stay put and have the renovations occur to our building for CCA.  There are two more meetings where parents and supporters can be heard.  On 1/28 at Tyner HS and on 1/29 at Brown Middle School. If at all possible, please attend these meetings both start at 6PM.  On the 28th the majority of our staff will be involved in auditions and I need to make sure we have representation at both meetings, yet the 28th is very important that we count on you to attend.  Preserving our magnet theme is very important.
