11/15/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,     November 15, 2020
I appreciate everyone who has completed your student-led conferences.  We will know that you are done once we receive the two requested documents attached to the links.  Parent survey and student questionnaire.  Most of you were able to finish on the 12th.  Many positive comments were received regarding virtual conferences.

There will not be any Jazz Band rehearsal on Monday, 11/16 (tomorrow).

On Tuesday, 11/17 PAPA is sponsoring a Spirit Day as we partner with PIZZA BROS on Cherokee Blvd. The restaurant is donating 10% of all sales, all day to CCA.  They are open from 11am-11pm.  The offer is good for dine in or pick up only.  Not valid on delivery. This is a small restaurant so calling ahead might be a good idea.  Be sure to mention that you are from CCA and to thank them for their support!

PAPA will be providing all of the teachers and staff with gift cards instead of pies this year.  If you would like to contribute to the purchase of the cards, you can make a donation at PayPal.me/ccapapa or send in your donation to be place in the PAPA mailbox in the office. All donations need to be made by this Wednesday, 11/18.  More information is on our Face Book page.

Please make sure you go to the parent portal in Power School to choose the learning option for your student next semester.  In-person or online with CCA are the two options.  Choices must be made by Friday, 11/20.  E-mail Vena Champion if you need assistance @ champion_vena@hcde.org.

This Friday is the last day of school before the Thanksgiving holiday.  I ask that you continue to follow CDC guidelines and to make sure our students wear masks and practice social distancing during their time away from school.  We are all working hard to keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you for your assistance with this request. Please watch for updates from the school district regarding developments or changes in our phase for learning.  Always have a plan to support your family needs should there be a change in a learning phase.

May you enjoy your time together with those who live in your home.  Eat lots, relax, and recharge as we head into the winter and holiday season. May your blessings be bountiful!
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Smith
