8/16/20 Message from the Principal

Good Evening CCA Families,                                                         August 16, 2020

Let me start by thanking everyone for your support during the first three days of school last week. Patience has been the underlying cause that we have all learned to practice as we continue with learning for all students at CCA.

This week we begin with the students in Cohort A in person learners attending school both Monday, 8/17 and Tuesday, 8/18 and our cohort B and at home learners attending virtually all classes.  Monday we will follow A day classes and on Tuesday we will follow B day classes.  On Wednesday, 8/19 all students will be at home and login to all classes since it is an A/B day.  Then on Thursday, 8/20 and Friday, 8/21, B cohort in person learners will attend classes and A cohort and at home learners will login to their classes from home.  We will attend A day classes on Thursday and on Friday we will log in to B day classes.

Please make sure you visit the website and our COVID tab. The Hamilton County Safe School pledge will be found there. The link below will guide you to the page.  All members of our school family at CCA and across the district are asked to sign the pledge.  Please take care of this ASAP.  I so appreciate your cooperation with this request.


I am also asking you to read our CCA dress code.  It is posted on the website and is in place for all CCA students both in person and at home.  The one thing I do want to add is that masks are not optional and must always be worn.  In addition, they may not have any writing on them at all except CCA.

If you still need to fill out registration forms, please do them immediately and send them with your student if they are an in person learner or e-mail them to winne_diane@hcde.org.  All at home learners may e-mail them to Ms. Winne.  Also, please pay your school fees as soon as possible online is preferred or checks made out to CCA. Please list what the check is for at the bottom on the for line.

All schedule changes that were possible to make are completed and new schedules have been e-mailed to students.  NO other changes are possible.  Please let me know if you have questions.

A final request has to do with the buses your student’s ride. We must have the following information.

 1. Students name

2. The bus number to and from school (It is possible it is different in the AM from the PM).

3. The number of miles from CCA to your home.  All parents of bus riders please e-mail the information to our registrar, champion_vena@hcde.org by noon tomorrow.
