Bio

Jessica Laliberte Bowman

Jessica Laliberte Bowman holds a BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago. She taught and danced professionally in Chicago before relocating to the Southeast. She has worked as an independent choreographer and teaching artist leading master classes and choreographic residencies including work with UTC, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Chattanooga Theatre Centre, Signal Mountain Playhouse, Ballet Tennessee and Tennessee Association of Dance.  Some of her favorite choreographic credits include Joseph, Smokey Joe’s Café, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Producers (CTC), among others. She is a founding member of Skwalking Heads Productions with whom she has co-produced Tonkawa Theatre Tribe in Godspell, Farm Days Fest and numerous children's theatre productions and community events. Her choreography has been showcased for the American Medical Alliance, March of Dimes and American Heart Association. Mrs. Bowman has been a grant recipient for the Tennessee Arts Commission, Allied Arts of Chattanooga and the Public Education Foundation. In 2010, she traveled to Iceland and Germany, making her international teaching debut in Hamm. She is Resident Choreographer for Project Motion at Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts where she teaches Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance. Currently Mrs. Bowman serves as the Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors for Tennessee Association of Dance.
